bandore \ban"dore\, n. sp. bandurria, fr. l. pandura,
   pandurium, a musical instrument of three strings, fr. gr.
   pandoy^ra a three-stringed musical instrument. cf. pandore,
   banjo, mandolin.
   a musical stringed instrument, similar in form to a guitar; a
   pandore. it is now obsolete, but see bandura.
