      slender bristle, or lashlike organ, at the end of the
      body, instead of a sting.

   whip snake zool., any one of various species of slender
      snakes. specifically:
      a a bright green south american tree snake philodryas
          viridissimus having a long and slender body. it is
          not venomous. called also emerald whip snake.
